Retouching with CameraPorn

I just had to use that title, it's cracking me up over here, but that's not the point. The point is that CameraPorn.net (which is not the kind of porn your thinking about) is running a contest on retouching a photo of Rygood's. You can see the entry about this contest here, and see the other entries for the contest here, here, and here. I'm not going to say who my favorite is just yet, but I already know who I am going to vote for.

Apart of this contest is to explain how you edited the photo. So I got sent an image in RAW format, tried my darndest to edit it like that, and wasn't achieving what I wanted, so I converted the file to a JPEG, and went about editing that way. I went with a closer crop, de-saturating, and blending out the water spots that were on the photo, and everything else, I can't really remember. I do know I tried several ways of editing it, and came out with several versions, but I liked the moodiness in this photo, hence why I chose it. Editing for me, is a process I just do, I never really remember what I am doing, it just happens. So that's what I did.
